Starting the 27th and running up to Halloween, Mars in Capricorn works his way to a trident of a t-square. Simultaneously, he will square the ongoing Uranus-Eris conjunction in Aries and Haumea in Libra.
Mars rules Ares (as in Aries, and Scorpio). Ares was one of Eris’ companions in malicious acts and mayhem. Since Eris and Uranus currently occupy Aries, the theoretical impact of the Martian t-square grows in potency. Likely this transit can be inflamed, edgy, hair-triggered. None of those attributes bring out the best of the t-square.
A t-square is something a draftsperson used to use in the olden days of last century to draw a schematic. A t-square’s application laid out a diagram that would be the root of a careful design. Sometimes the fruit of that diagram took a long time to manifest. T-squares drew out plans that were not instant gratification friendly.
Mars during this transit is okay with a disciplined, dedicated course of development because of his claim in Capricorn. Still, he wants to get the show on the road, and presumably, with no expectation of an immediate result. Mars exalted in Capricorn might point upward for a metaphor. A jetliner is a good example. Before the airplane flies at nearly supersonic speeds at altitudes where the air is smooth, it sits motionless at the end of the runway as check lists are completed. Then, clearance to take off is rendered, which permits the flight will fit into the flow of the aggregate of airplanes in the air. Then, the engines throttle up. This takes a little time. The brakes release, a smooth course down the runway is steered and the aircraft rotates, entering the lower limits of the sky. There it might encounter the lingering thrust turbulence of preceding aircraft. It navigates through bumpy air between atmospheric layers and climbs at a safe rate to an optimized (nice Capricorn word) cruising altitude.
Recent political rhetoric carelessly tosses about words like “start a revolution,” which fits Mars’ call to arms and Uranus’ cantankerous side. First, keep in mind that if you are a participant in a revolution, you are revolting.
Second, there are clear rules for revolution. The Wilhelm translation of the I-Ching notes such guiding parameters in the hexagram “Revolution.” To paraphrase:
The time must be right.
Care in the beginning ensures more effective results in the end.
The agenda must be free of selfish motivations.
It’s not easy and without risk.
The revolution cannot involve ruthlessness or extreme haste.
Deliberation and strategic action serve the cause.
These suggestions serve as preemptive, proactive remedies to careless application of the Mars-Uranus contentious volatility, the Eris rage at the perception of exclusion and being cast aside. Such shunning may be the result of one’s one discordant demeanor.
These suggestions invoke Haumea’s need for creative aspiration. Those stepping forward with agendas of global good, humanitarian concern and consciousness upliftment serve others well as they inspire the masses toward self actualization and creative fulfillment. As well, Haumea carried the makalei stick, which ensured that all people are fed. Nourishment contributes to ones ability to be uplifted.
Truly this t-square lays out the agenda for a lengthy campaign in planetary betterment. However, caution is needed. Excessive impulsiveness, hostility, incendiary rhetoric and disruptive action work against the promising purposes.
The point is, according to Eris, many people feel misunderstood and left behind without a place to fit in. Uranus reminds Eris that the campaign to define oneself as unique and eccentric may have the unintended result of creating a perception of ones individualism as arrogant, iconoclastic, not invite able, superior and disruptive. The remedy here, clearly define the highest intentions and outline the objectives of altruism prior to positioning for a good fit.
This transit is akin to transporting nitroglycerin in the days of buckboard wagons. It was risky, hazardous and required extreme care for each and every turn for the wagon wheel.
Those with hair-trigger reactions, volatile reactions and reluctance to use any plan requiring commitment, deliberation, cause and detailed dedication can make things go cattywumpus. When dealing with such folks, step aside and allow the flame out to complete. From whatever unfortunate ashes may result, a Phoenix can rise. This transit, after all, occurs with the Sun in Scorpio and the co-rulers of same sharing the sign that loves dedicated plans and strategy.

Where and when and how expediently can you apply the best you’ve got?

Therein is the proactive, preemptive application of potent personal promise. Contribute to consciousness. Inspire creativity by modeling your best ingenuity.
